Beaches

Reef Beach (Trร igh na Beirigh)

Known for its clear waters and family-friendly atmosphere, it's an ideal spot for swimming and picnics.

Uig Sands (Camas Uig)

A vast expanse of white shell sand, this beach is not only stunning but also historically significant as the discovery site of the famous Lewis Chessmen.

Cliff Beach (Camas na Clibhe)

A hidden gem surrounded by rugged cliffs, offering a serene environment for relaxation.

Stargazing and Northern Lights

One of the most enchanting features of our location is the minimal light pollution. Our streetlights are turned off in the evening, creating an ideal environment for stargazing. On clear nights, guests can witness a breathtaking canopy of stars, and during the aurora season (September to April), there's a good chance of experiencing the mesmerizing Northern Lights. The Isle of Lewis is renowned for its dark skies, making it one of the best places in Scotland to observe this natural phenomenon.
